It is also possible on Aternos to upload some ("safe") files.
The main reason it is not possible to upload custom mods and plugins to Aternos is that it would enable users to circumvent the automatic shutdown of empty servers.
Since this system doesn't exist/is optional on exaroton, there is no need to restrict the upload of mods and plugins.

I'm curious if the file size limit for backup/world stay the same like Aternos. I think the answer is obvious, but just want to make sure.

Yes, it also is 4GB on exaroton. Backups aren't limited by Aternos, but by GDrive (usually 15GB, but who even)

World upload limit is still 1GB (although you can upload subfolders seperately)
And like chosen said
Server size limit is still 4GB
Backups are limited by google drive (15GB is the free plan)
