How do you get an item sorting contraption to work? I built a pretty simple one and it doesn't seem to work.

    I tried building a simple redstone item sorter, but instead of the hoper sorting through the items, all of the items just went in the chest and the new items that were coming from the outside of the build were getting stuck in the hoppers. I tried looking this problem up I tested the contraption in a single player world and it worked just fine. Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

    try to check redstone and check if u put the blocks inside the hopper the hopper above the chests u want the stuff in needs to have:

    The block u want sorted
