It seems that whenever I restart (or stop then start) the server all my configuration files are reset.
Is this necessary, is it a bug, is it known, and is it in the process of being fixed?

This bug makes it impossible for me to use my server correctly.

Basically what happens is whenever I go into a config file, I change something, restart my server for it to take effect and nothing happens because the config file remains untouched.
This is an issue that needs to be solved soon.

I am editing the config files while the server is running, but I can't see how that would cause an issue.

EDIT: I have tested this again, and it seems to only happen in the plugin 'SetSpawn'. This plugin would be unnecessary if EssentialsSpawn was added to the Plugins List, and so the issue would be resolved.

    K. Sometimes you just wish stuff was more advanced.

    But anyways:
It would be nice if we had access to server worlds and the ability to set which world the server uses. Also when you upload/regenerate a world, the nether/end is untouched.

    &

I mean like not clearing the ENTIRE server - like just wiping plugins or only wiping worlds.

We can't enable FTP, that would be considered as a safety risk for our system.

Yeah, after I posted that I was reading around the forum and you said something similar to that on another thread. It would be nice for us to have access to the worlds (ex. be able to delete them), and ability to set which world the server uses, in the case of plugins like ASkyBlock, Multiverse, and MultiWorld.

We automatically fetch plugins from DevBukkit and Spigot, so the newest version should always be available if the version is hosted on either one of the sites

I have a 1.8 version of MCmmo for my local servers, it is available for free download on spigot, its just a little tricky to find. Aternos doesn't have MCmmo 1.8, last I checked.
For some reason my Lightshot won't upload the picture, but right under where it says the latest builds for each version, there is a small paragraph. At the end of that, is the link. Just click here.

I may not be staff, but I will say this: Aternos was (probably) meant to be free. It is the best option for free servers I have seen thus far. However, I don't think the staff want a premium option. Not everyone has an infinite supply of money.

    Also,

The concept of Aternos is to stay completely free forever and for everyone. We shall not introduce a premium system.

MCmmo. I have a 1.8 version on my local server but aternos doesnt support it.
LibsDisguises. Again, have a version, but not on aternos.
I'm sure there's more, but those are the ones that I saw.

One major needed feature is that we need either access to the main folder of the server, or access to some sort of "world panel" where we can select what world we want and delete worlds. That way we can use plugins like Multiverse or Multiworld better. Also, uploading or generating a new world does NOT remove the nether or end, and I think there should be some sort of options for reinstallation. E.G: a menu where you can select what you want to delete, say keep your world or plugins. Also it would be easier for us to use FTP, or have the option to, because there often 1.8 versions of plugins but Aternos doesn't have them.
