I did actually have success with this, sorry for not updating! What I did was go to "Worlds", download the world, change the server version and then upload the world, readd the mods, and redo the whitelist of players. Then I was able to get the server up and play again. My friend did lose their JourneyMap progress and there was a little bit of world progress lost but otherwise everything is good now. : D

Please do! My friends and I have already made huge progress on our world and I would be devastated if I had to tell them we lost all of it because I made a mistake before the server even went up!

Aternos updated our server software from 1.19.2 to 22w42a and now the server won't start because the mods haven't been updated to this version yet and it keeps crashing. I tried reinstalling 1.19.2 but it automatically updates back to 22w42a. Is there some setting to force Aternos not to update the server software? I don't want my server to be unusable for possibly weeks waiting on mods that may never be updated.

But the install mods instructions from Aternos says to download and use Forge to run mods, without specifying if something else should be used for different kinds of mods. There is no Fabric linked to download? It says "Forge is the server software that is necessary to load mods on your server." Is the instructions not correct? I am confused on why you say one thing when the instructions says to do another thing.

Anyway I have the server working for us now. I made a profile in CurseForge for my friends and I to use and the server allows it just fine so we can play now. Thank you for trying to help.

I went through all my installed mods and noticed some were not the right version (some forge, while others were the wrong game version) so I deleted everything and made sure I downloaded the correct ones. Tried them again on singleplayer and it was still behaving as a vanilla world. Then I tried connecting to the server with the Origins mods re-added and it again insisted I needed to install the mod when it is already in my mods folder. I am at my wit's end with this server. I even double checked the mod installation guide and I am doing everything it said. What am I missing ??

It's acting like the mods aren't even on my computer but I made sure they were in the right folder and I opened the game with the forge thing just like it instructed.

I made a new server today for myself and some friends to play on but when I went to connect to make sure all the mods were working properly, the game said I needed to install the Origins mod to play. ...but I have the Origins mod installed. I even reinstalled it. Nope, it still says the server requires me to install the mod to connect. I even tried deleting the mod from the server files and re-adding it. I am trying to use the 1.19.2 fabric Origins mod. Any ideas on what I can do? I am feeling very lost here because I am not familiar with using mods outside of CurseForge.

Please let me know if more information is needed (such as the other mods on the server).
