Chunks are automatically resetting when unloaded 20k blocks from spawn. My server is java edition and I wanted to live 20k blocks from spawn and chunks are resetting automatically when unloaded that far out. Why?

My aternos server is really laggy so I was going to switch it from fabric to spigot to get some plugins to help but it says that it will delete the current world so I downloaded it but before i switch it and then upload the world I wanted to know if all playerdata transfers with the world
