That was happening to me too while i was playing multi, I don't know why is it happening. But It's actually Server problem. Free servers also have limits.

If you don't know why it replaced, beacuse free servers is not infinitetly large, same as aternos.Beacuse max storage free aternos server can handle only 2 GB.
If you were talking about singleplayer, aternos is for multi. Talk about singleplayer in the other website.
