You don't have to believe him. Roman has stated multiple times that because of the update in which they allowed multiple mods to be on your server at a time, they had to limit the dependent websites down to Curseforge to remove any conflictions between mods from different sites

The server seems to be overloaded, meaning you've done something that has chugged on the server hard, such as the repetition of actions that tank systems, multiples mobs have spawned at once, or WorldEdit has struck
