About the Mod:
Actually this is a pretty old one created by flower-child. It is a total conversation, kind of like a mod pack in terms of offered contend, which is designed to not run with any other mod (no modloader or forge support at all).
Since the basic Minecraft always lacked some kind of challenge the mod started out with some minor changes and ended up being one of the hardest mods I ever played. No sleeping; always hard mode; monsters hunt animal; massive hunger drain; hunger and wounds alter the movement, vision and lead to death; no more endless water, it has to been transported with pumps... and tons of more changes. But not only changing some game basics, but adding a lot of new features like (spinning) windmills, working elevators / gates / bridges; optimized animal feeding and altered breeding... gosh... just taking a look at the changelogs will give you an idea how much there has been edited...way to much to mention it all.
This mod has been developed and improved over years and still is undergoing further updates. Even though it still is only working on 1.5.2, it was the best decision not to change the version at all, since the content it offers still presents way more, than the current newest version 1.11.2 offers.

I do really hope there is a chance to add this one.
