How do I check my server logs?

I have been running a minecraft server that I just started today with me and 2 of my friends then after I put in the command /gamerule keepInventory true about 5 minutes later we all disconnected and I was put in a que again then after the server went up again we joined and immediatly lost connection. we all tried the regular IP and the dyn IP but neither worked, The server says its running but no ones on. Please respond quickly
