The Aternos forums are now deprecated

Learn more about this change here.

For help regarding Aternos, we recommend you to visit our support center.

    In general I have found numerous examples so far:

    - Audio files (mp3, midi...) for musical plugins / mods;

    - API files and extension files that increase the functionality of some plugins / mods (perhaps this point is quite delicate, since it could fall into that category of files that may contain suspicious codes);

    - Images files for plugins / mods that work on resource packs or on players' skins;

    - Schematic, a famous case are those of plot in creative using World Edit (this is one of the main reasons why I asked to be able to download and upload files on Aternos);

    - Import of an available language for a plugin / mod which however isn't included in the "installation package".

    Let's say that this topic could also include the possibility to move files into a different folder, as discussed in this thread: [Suggestion] Moving Files to Folders

    Some time ago I came across a plugin that allowed you to create your own minigame and made available many extra codes, but instead of finding them inside the right folder they were placed in the outermost folder (the first screen that opens when you click on Files), making them useless.

    I have nothing against the backups we already have (also because they are much better), my proposal was mostly about the possibility of interacting further with the files that we can install on the server.

    Currently the only way to install / uninstall / modify something on your server is only through the plugins / mods available and through the settings (and I admit that you already have many possibilities with that).

    Let's say that my intent wasn't really the possibility of downloading the backup on the PC, but the possibility of interacting further with our server and I believe that such a thing could be done.

    I realize very well that so many checks would be needed, but in my opinion it could be sufficient to limit the possibility to modify / load specific files, for example on java files, exe files and so on...

    (I recommend that you skip this post and start reading the next ones)

    Good afternoon everyone,

    My proposal (as you might guess from the title) consists of making available the possibility of making offline backups, that is you can download and save them directly on the PC.

    I understand that this could be very difficult to apply, since it is not possible to upload any kind of files (apart from the worlds) to Aternos for many reasons and this would imply that these backups could only be downloaded, making them useless.

    These are the features I thought:

    1) Downloaded backups can be opened (and modified) only through a specific software (or through the Aternos website itself);

    2) These backups would allow you to download the worlds (even if this option already exists, thanks to the worlds management) and the plugins / mods that we have installed on the server;

    If it were still not possible to add this function, would it be possible at least to be able to download all the files on the server? (With file I always refer to plugins, mods and so on)

    What do you think about it?

    Bye!

    Hi everyone,

    I recently tried to upgrade my server from version 1.12.2 to version 1.14.2 and I can't get into it.

    Initially I thought that it was some problem related to the server itself, but when my friends tried to enter it they succeeded without problems.

    At that point I followed the advice I found on the forum, namely to update Java and try to change (temporarily and permanently) the DNS, without success.
    Then I tried on another PC connected to the same network and got the same result, always repeating the same steps.

    The problem occurs whenever I try to log in on any server with minecraft 1.14 or higher (cracked version included).

    The messages that appear to me when I try to access (using DynIP) to a server are the following:
    - "Unknown host";
    - "Error";
    - "Your username couldn't be verified".

    So at this point I tried to see if the problem was related to my network, but nothing to do.

    Do you have any idea what the problem may be?

    Do you notice any thing tht you do every time that cause the crash?

    Usually when we crash it is because there are too many entities, but it also happens without a valid reason, for example while playing in vanilla (little lag, few entities, good connection).

    And i will (googling) your proplem when i have a free time try to google it to

    You're too kind... I feel guilty if i let you do it.

    i think if you switch to 1.8.8 spigot and downloaded ViaVersions it will be less laggy

    Another problem that comes to me when i try to do this is that the world used for the vanilla is ruined, as it doesn't load anything from everything from 1.9 onwards.
