No Its not. I've played it myself and know exactly what you mean. The team should have done something to the worlgen in SF4 last night. Try it now (you might have to generate a new world, so take backup and world download if you dont wanna loose your world)
I found a temporary solution if you use the /setblock command you can go around the outside of your island and set multiple cobblestone blocks around your world where the real world would start to generate generate so it pushes the real world back super far. You have to do this before you upload the world to the server. I could send a example screenshot if needed.
