Did you happen to allow every java instance through the firewall?
Try that, and see if it works.
i did that and i dunno what happened but now everything works? im not sure if my firewall was blocking everything or if java was having a temper tantrum last night

Check your firewall; sometimes the pc can turn it's back on minecraft and you have to give it's permissions back.
You can get to it by going to Control panel > System and Security > Windows Defender Firewall > Allow an app ... through firewall.
Then find that app (usually a java app of sorts) and give it permissions (both the checkboxes).
i allowed java through the firewall but im still getting an error where things time out or things were "forcibly closed by the remote host"
im starting to get sick of this issue, mainly cause ive redownloaded minecraft and it still refuses to work.
i want to get this issue solved but i feel like ive tried everything and that there isnt much hope for tonight
ive already restarted my computer, reuploaded my world, made sure my wifi was secure, and restarted minecraft more times than i can count. my wifi is good enough to support a discord call and youtube, so i dont think it would stop working due to minecraft. i dont know, this issue is just weird.
The Timed Out issue is a client-based connection issue, meaning something is up with your connection. Try checking your router and/or restarting it, or closing and reopening MC.
hi! so basically me and my partner were playing together and as i went into the nether, i was kicked out of the server. i tried going back in, thinking that this was just another error, but had no luck connecting to my world. my main issue is that i get stuck on the "loading terrain" screen while im technically connected to the server, only to have it time out and get kicked. my partner had no trouble whatsoever and continued playing as i still couldnt connect.
but! i really need help solving this because i really want to keep playing with them!
