So, bringing this old subject back. Tried to run a modded 1.12.2 server with some friends, but am encountering the exact same problem. No matter what I do, they can join whereas I cannot. You said that you couldn't verify my last theory as you can't troubleshoot my home network - so how would I go about troubleshooting it?
-
Fair enough. If there's anything i can do to help you find the cause just let me know.
-
Do you think it might be some form of NAT acceleration or cut through forwarding? Saw that cited as a reason for this kind of problem, though not sure how to change that myself. Want to know if it's worth looking into.

Since i got a new PC, So personally i think that is the problem with how it is set up, though haven't been able to find a fix. got it late november.

This issue is specific to some server providers and I'm not sure why. It works on some of the bigger servers (Mineplex and hypixel for example) But doesn't work on aternos and one or two others. Because of this, it seems more to me like an issue between my computer connecting to your provider, though i don't know why this is a problem.

Disconnect. It either says timed out, or the java.io exception
-
Still waiting on any kind of advice for this at all.

Ah sorry, just realised the logs delete themselves after 7 days.

Found a log from an older one, https://mclo.gs/fftRtJ7
Also, i should mention i have tried allocating minecraft more ram and messed with settings like render distance, fps, v-sync, all of the video options essentially -
So, after joining a server supplied by aternos, after roughly 10 seconds everything stops responding which leads to a time out or a java.io.ioexception, though timed out is more common. Aternos has worked previously on my laptop, but no aternos servers work on my new desktop (Plus certain other server providers)
Through attempting to fix this issue, i have tried the following:
Tested on 2 separate minecraft account (Neither were cracked)
Reinstalled java 3 times, and tried downgrading once
Disabled firewall and double checked to make sure java and mc were allowed to connect to shit
Tried on 3 different aternos accounts
Tested on 1.12.2 instead of 1.13.2 twiceDeleted the world and tested on a new one 6 times, including downloading and deleting player data
Joined other minecraft servers like mineplex, worked fine.
Tried the DynaIP
Joined an aternos server my friend made when he and 3 others were on it and working fine. Tried a range of things relating to them leaving/ joining when i did.
Please help, I'm really not sure what else to try. There's gotta be some reason for it timing out after 10 seconds or so. The game seems to work fine for those first 10 seconds also, so i am not sure what happens afterwards.
For some reason the share button for the log is just forever loading so here is the text for the important part of it (Captured on my most recent 1.12.2 test)
