On my vanilla minecraft server that my friends and I play on, for some reason, we are now unable to use nether portals. This has become a large issue for the server, especially because we were just starting work on a nether hub. Every time that we stand in a portal, it takes a few seconds for the portal to load, and the wooshing sound is made, as if we just jumped onto the other side of the portal. However, the portal does not actually take us through the nether, despite testing multiple portals and trying to break and re-ignite it. Is there any way to fix this?

And now for some reason, my nether portals don't teleport me or my friends into the nether, even though they make the wooshing noise, as if we did get teleported to the other side.

How does the cracked mode change that though?

My friend started up my server today after it crashed (even though it wasnt online), and randomly, the server reset its items from an earlier world backup, but the actual builds in our world were not lost. Now, I am really confused about what happened, and myself and many friends have lost countless amounts of items that we spent many hours to obtain in our vanilla survival world. Has this happened to anyone else, and is there any way to prevent this from happening again, or some way to recover our progress?

So, me and my friends have been on an Aternos Minecraft server for about a month now, and after spawning endermites multiple times, naming them, and pushing them into a minecart, they despawn at random for what seems like no reason. Idk if this has to do with the plugins i use (skin restorer and sleepy), or if this is a general thing that can be changed in game. Thanks.
