I don't know if this is relevant to the thread but before that new system is released (if it will take more time to develop an test and see if it's releasable) I would suggest bulk delete,what that would help is that you do not have to go through the process of - delete file,confirm,wait a few seconds for the page to update,...(repeat)
Like select all button or select multiple,that would be super useful and also pretty easy to make imo.
