how you starting with 2 mods and it's vanilla?

and you mean the server crash or client because crash report is from client not server

you can share your launcher log if it's client crash when entering the server

or share your log using share button on log page

I think by vanilla, OP means regular mc, and no plugins, but I might be wrong.

And OP, it is probably because the mods are putting too much of a load on the server, but again, I might be wrong, as you didn't share a log.

    Please do so.

Thank you both Roman and SMASHERYT. I understand that you don't want to change render distance, but there are still other options in the file which would have little to no performance effect. Thank you for showing me how to edit bukkit.yml, however, when i go to the file manager, it only show plugins. The file manager makes it look like it only allows the editing of plugins. Just saying.

And to Roman, there are other settings other than view distance, and letting controlled editing of them would be a major upgrade.

    Thank you.

    Hi, Aternos Official!

Before I begin, I would like to say thanks to Aternos for giving the minecraft community free servers for our own personal use. Kudos to you!

I want more mobs to spawn in my server. So I scour the web for solutions. According to Fadehost (https://www.fadehost.com/tutor…ease-mob-spawning-limits/), I can change how many mobs spawn by editing the file bukkit.yml. So I try to edit the file using the file manager on the website. I can only edit plugins. I try to use the Options menu. Also doesn't give me the option. Then I head to the forums, and realize, that I can't edit the server files at all, due to security concerns, which is understandable.

I want to be able to edit server files, but not directly. What I mean is, that I want there to be options on the website letting me edit the file, but not directly. So there would be Aternos's own limits, I would only be able to edit what they want, and everyone wins.

If your still confused, I mean for there to be individual settings on the website for stuff like view-distance, so that we can edit server files, without the possibility of attacking the website and the server.

I have attached a screenshot of how this would possibly look like.

I hope you can understand what I am saying. If you decide to decline this request, please tell me why, as it might be because I phrased my request poorly.
