In minecraft it says ''cant connect to server" or sometimes "Cant resolve hostname"

My friend and i have been on my server for the past two days but today the server was started but we are unable to connect in minecraft. None of the server settings have been changed and we have tried restarting the server and our minecrafts several times. We have tried both ips today but neither work. Any help? Is it just mabey a temporary bug with the site?
