I've been playing in my friend's server for a long time. I'm actually the main builder of our world. However, just about a week ago, I'm unable to play in the server at all. I would log in, but I would just be in the void. And if it does load the world, I would just get kicked or disconnected about 20 seconds later.
I checked the log if I could deduce the problem. The only thing I could make up is
[11:30:33] [Server thread/WARN]: Can't keep up! Is the server overloaded? Running 5141ms or 102 ticks behind
So initially, i thought it would be my internet connection. However, I tried joining other different servers and it was all fine. It shouldn't be it, also considering that my Internet is really fast and reliable, being able to play other online games without a problem at all.
We don't run any mods, and the only plug-in we have is clear lag. We run on Paper and the client's version is 1.14.3
I've tried tweaking my firewall settings but it didn't have any effect.
My friends can join our server just fine. It's just really frustrating that this problem suddenly came up when it's our semester break here and I don't get to play at all. I hope someone can help me with this and tell me if you need more details regarding it.
