Reading that back it might sound like it was a creeper but there were only 2 blocks destroyed and there was no explosion sound

So I’ve had this server for over a month and originally made it for me and my two friends. I made one world and it was totally fine but we got bored of the layout so I created a new one. It was totally normal at first until a few times I saw trees with weirdly cut leaves (I promise this isn’t some dumb Herobrine story please bear with me lmfao). I told my friend about it and they also said it was weird; I just kinda brushed it off since they could have done it without remembering? But then today I was playing alone on the server and had been on for literally 5 minutes and went to put some stuff in my chest, when something hit me and caused damage, I panicked thinking it was a zombie and close the chest and when I looked to see what was there part of my stair case was broken? There were no mobs etc only me in the world and I checked the player list to make sure I was alone. I totally understand that this might sound like bullshit to some but I’m thinking maybe someone has access to my world without my knowledge? If anyone has any suggestions or can give any help please do
