Downloading the world may work in terms of still having the strucuteess. But if you got structures with modded blocks, these might get corrupted

Hi!
My problem is that I had a server with Paper/Bukkit and two plugins (one for sleep and another for skins), but I wanted to add some mods, so I installed forge. When I did that, all the plugins disappeared and now I can't change to vanilla to install again the plugins because the world would be eliminated. I didn't do a backup copy, so is there any way to return the server to vanilla without lossing all? Maybe downloading it, changing to vanilla and uploading again?
