So some friends and me have a survival server on Aternos, at the beginning (when we were playing with 4 people and the world wasn't that big) it was lovely to play and almost never expierienced lag. Now with around 8 players and a world file of 2 gb we do have lag, so I had an old pc lying around and I thought to myself lets make a dedicated server out of it. Now it's running Ubuntu and everything works so I setup my standard minecraft server which works. So now I want to put the survival files onto the dedicated server and that's where I ran into some trouble. The old host sent me the world folder which I then replaced the world folder from my minecraft server with. Nothing changed, the minecraft server on the dedicated server only lost it's save files but further nothing.

How do I transfer the world with all its data to my dedicated server and what is the right way to implement them?
