    I'm currently working on a custom UHC minigame, and I'm using an aternos server to host it. The problem is that mob spawning is completely out of wack!!! For whatever reason, mobs rapidly spawn. I can never seem to kill enough of them for breathing room, and there's always crowds of 10 or so clumped together at a time. I'm not sure the exact count but one encounter during a round of UHC I nearly died early as a result of zombies, 5 skeletons (I counted), a few spiders, a creeper ambush and a witch's poison potion all simultaneously. It's gotten to a point of complete absurdity where players are dying before we're even remotely close to the final deathmatch, and it doesn't exactly make for a fun experience.


    I'm using PaperMC, if that matters, and it's set to version 1.15.2. I read somewhere that it would reduce lag, which is what I need.

    In order for the game to run as it should, the game cannot be set to peaceful mode, plus I don't want to get rid of mobs entirely. So can someone please explain if the rapid and numerous spawning is a Minecraft issue or server issue and how I can fix it, if possible? Thank you. ^^
