I kindly ask you to reconsider installing the mod "Player Compass". My last request was denied (understandable since it was at 20 downloads). But recently this mod as 14,000 downloads now.

This mod is a compass that dynamically points towards a player's position. The user can right-click to change the person the compass is pointing towards. It is useful for quickly figuring out where a friend is if you are adventuring together and get split up. It can also be used for a manhunt in a modded world.
