Hey so basically I made a 1.16.1 VANILLA mc server on here for me and my friend to play on.
No hostile mobs are spawning. Pigs and Sheep and whatever are spawning fine, but I have not seen any hostile mobs.
But I can go into creative and manually spawn them in myself.
Monsters is on.
Difficulty is Easy.
PVP is off
I also tried the /gamerule doMobSpawning True, didn't do anything.
