Is there any way I could put a standalone mod into the server, such as Forge and 1.8 Pixelmon?

I was wondering if there was any way to add the Pixelmon mod to the server? I'm somewhat new to the server host, so I don't know all the ins and outs yet. Any help? Thanks.
