Paper maybe changes some things by defualt, but you can disable most of these things again as you said. However the biggest problem with Spigot was the tick skipping, when the game is laggy. As far as I know Paper only messes around with tile ticks and is therefor less invasive than Spigot, which sometimes skips whole ticks.

Dear Aternos team,
first a huge thank you for providing such an awesome server hosting service!
I have a question. It is (again) about carpet mod without /player. After suggesting it, I clearly saw the "rejected" because mods that are specifically made for Aternos dont get accepted. I am sure you have your reasons for that and of course I respect it. But I would like to know these reasons, since I want to understand why it got rejected.
Also if you have any question regarding the mod I would love to answer them!Greetings

Dont use Bukkit or Spigot. Bukkit is completely outdated and Spigot is the killer for every vanilla game mechanic. if you need plugins, then use Paper. Its changes the fewest things in the vanilla mechanics. And if you dont 100% need plugins, then use fabric with lithium and phosphor for performance. Iirc it gives you even better performance for lower player ciunt, while Paper is better for higher amounts of players.

Of course it doesnt mean they will add it now. its just an argument for why it should get added. Thats all I can do anyways. Except of waiting for 1000 downloads.

Well. The point is, that it is basically exactly the same as the normal carpet mod which has 121 000 downloads. It just has the /player command removed. So any chance of keeping the servers open too. And the question just was, if that could be a special case, because its basically a mod with 121 000 downloads adapted for aternos servers
