  • IP Routing Issue?

    A friend and I (both based in USA) have been having trouble connecting to our server for about two weeks. Our other friends, UK-based, have not had any issues. Minecraft will detect the server (using both standard IP and DynIP) but cannot connect to it. The server logs do not show any trace of the attempted connection. I have tried:


    - Reinstalling Minecraft

    - Using the DynIP

    - Flushing my DNS cache
    - Using google as my DNS server


    Nothing seems to work. From some other threads I have read, it sounds like this may be a routing issue due to our USA location. Customer service has been very slow to respond to my emails, and keep suggesting fixes that I have already told them I tried. Can anyone help? I have a traceroute ready to send.
