I'll make sure to try this, but we will need to keep the plugins. Is there a reason/something we could do without deleting plugins to fix this

I'm not sure if I put this question in the right area, this is my first thread. Please forgive me if I have put this thread somewhere incorrect
. So my friends and I started an Aternos server today (1.17.1, Spigot/Bukkit, Skript with one skript I can post here if you wish) sort of like 3rd Life if you have seen that MC series on YouTube. Although, for some reason we cannot place beds and/or signs on the server. Does anybody know why this is so 
? We are really confused and it's quite annoying not being able to sleep and write signs. There has also been a significant amount of lag, but I'm not sure if that has to do with anything... Please help if you can!
