It's not about the type of mods. it's about of how the mod was created. This doesn't apply to any mod so there's no actual answer.

It depends from the mods. It affects some mods, it doesn't affects others. Though it does affect most of them.

Share the server log using the share button on the log page.

Did you do/change anything in the server before it stopped working?

Try reinstalling your server (Aternos > Options > Reinstall).

See if you can enter other dimensions.

If you can, reinstall the mods one by one and try again everytime.

if even after installing all the mods you are able to enter the nether and the end, just play normally.

If after installing a specific mod you are not able to enter them, just remove that mod.

What happens if you try to go through a portal? And what software is the server running?

You should ask the creator of the mod. Or try using another voice chat mod.
