it's patched on popular servers and on newer paper versions
to see if you're doomed:
1. Download and open Notepad++
2. Click Search > Find in Files
3. A new window will appear.
4. Under "Find what," type jndi:ldap
5. Under "Directory," Select your logs folder located in your Minecraft directory. Example: C:\Users{Your Username Here}\AppData\Roaming.minecraft\logs
6. Click "Find All."
7. If you see it, you're dead and reinstall your pc lol
adding -Dlog4j2.formatMsgNoLookups=true to your jvm arguments ( server and clientsided (1.18) )
