My serve is lost (Again)

    But this time it is not my fault ( i believe)
    I came to server before an hour (21.6.2014 15:30 CET)
    And my server is at least one week old.
    So i lost everything, EVERYTHING! i did this week.
    Ok. may happend. (i don' t know how or why, but let it bea)
    So i dowloaded actual word (for sure) and looked for backup you offer on sever.
    Great, there is an backup from "Thu, 19.Jun.2014 22:37:14", i will lose minimum of my work.


    How disappointed i was, when i found out backup is the very same as the "newest" version was.
    :( I am disappointed, sad, disgusted. :(


    Boys i love your work, what you are doing is amazing and great...
    But..
    This is not the first time when i do two steps forward and three steps back.
    (this is at least third backstep i remember in three month)
    What the hell is wrong with it?
    Is there any problem, and you loosing actual server versions time by time?
    Is any problems with backups or backuping?
    Am i a special kind of idiot?


    Im not care what is the reason, just tell me the truth.
    Tell me: "We are sorry we have problems. Please do your own backups"
    Tell me:" You are an idiot because (reason), but if you try(solution).."
    I dont care. It is ok.
    Just please dont let me down.

    try doing /save-all it helps a lot i don't know why but i think the servers auto save feature doesn't work right for modded servers the /save-all command is the best way and do it frequently so if it doesn't work it will eventually and if not it will minimize the loss

    Because:


    Monday - started server, worked on word, stopped server
    Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - started server, continued on work, stopped server
    Friday - was not on server
    Saturday - started server, server is obsolete, stopped server, downloaded server (for sure),
    loaded aternos backup dated "Thu, 19.Jun.2014 22:37:14", and it is the very same obsolete version, as i found it on Saturday.


    So my theory: - A) Something is wrong on server, and there is problems with backups (looks like an old backup rewrites actual word)
    B) I, or one of my two opp's, rewrited actual word by old backup, and this old backup becomes actual on "Thu, 19.Jun.2014 22:37:14"


    Am i comprehensible?

    well backups can become corrupt if not saved regularly on normal minecraft off this site so i assume the same thing can happen on the server try re-installing your server and use the /save-all that was a problem with my server when i tried playing divine rpg but not it works fine i just do /save-all every hour but re-install your server before doing a lot of work on it

    So the result is:
    There is no newer backup, because the game was uncorrectly ended, without save?


    Solution is:
    be smart and do your own /save-all and your own backups for sure?

    tomorow i logged in to server. Server was near of full capacity.
    Skiping many ticks, and once more than 87s (87 000ms) behind.
    I builded one building, than send /save-all from console.
    And right now the building is not there.
    And when i started server now, i saw that last log was about tomorow 15:30,
    but my last login to server and creating building was about tomorow 22 - 23:40


    It is due server overload?

    I use just:
    -Brewery
    -Essentials
    -TreeAssist
    plugins.


    But yesterday i played with JoeNoeDoe resource pack, used on my computer.. Is it relevant?

    So..
    Can i be usefull in preventing of this happened?
    Or better, can i be usefull in find out (and eliminate) why, or how this happens?

    What exactly you mean by that?
    I am a bit uppset.
    What do you mean by "much world generation"?
    I use exactly five regions (5 areas large 512x512) because i am deleting every other explored area in every backup i do.
    because I must take backup under 50MB, and now i am about 20MB.
    I use only 3 plugins, because i dont need more.
    I do backups whenever i can, but as i read the last thread, i am not the only one, and it is enought to restart world for loosing it,
    SO BACKUP DOES NOT HELP!
    What about fixing problems with saving world before unload?

    By the way, it happened again and i lost a part of my yesterday work.
    :(
    Time by time it seems to be more effective sharing world.zip on megaupload, than using aternos.
    Sorry for that, but i am realy desperate and annoyed by having no real sollution
    from you.
