    :) I'm new to aternos I think it's German. I was gonna start a 1.8.1 mc server but I wanted to know about some things fist like what's a MOTD and can I use commands since I'm the server owner and public visitors can't use commands like I can access creative while they have to stay in survival and I can use /fly while they can't, if this is even possible for 1.8.1 aternos servers plz let me know. Also I saw that whitelist and ops don't work in 1.7.6 and up is that for everybody or just people besides the server owner so I can be a op but everybody else can't? My username for minecraft is metalmario66 also a server I play on is play.superfuntime.org I hope this isn't a trouble. Thanks

    This is possible. You either can operate yourself with

    Code
    op YourMinecraftName



    and then you'll have all permissions or you can use permission managing plugins like PermissionsEX or bPermissions and assign permissions more specific.

    I think you don't understand it right. There is a text file where all operators and whitelisted players are stored. These text files can't be edited at the My Server page if your server is on version 1.7.6 or higher. That means that if you're on version 1.7.6 or higher you must edit these text files through the console.

    Thanks for ur help but I'm not a expert at what op can do or whitelist but thanks also I don't know what u mean by quellcode. When I scroll down to where it says whitelist and op it shows my name automatically in the op part so I guess I'm already a op. Also this is gonna be my first server for mc PC. I've made about 4-5 instantmcpe servers which is a 24 hour quick server. But what does being a op allow u to do? I want to be able to use pretty much every command like power tool, tp, and punish if u can do that without anything weird. Also what is a plugin? Thanks for ur help :) and what's a whitelist do?

    The operator on the server has all permissions to use every existing command.

    Plugins are pieces of software which you can install on your server. Usually they add new commands and functions to your server.

    Thanks for all ur help. But u said just ignore the quellcode stuff but look at the command. Is this quellcode for the server. And if it is what is the command? What r some commands available in plugins and r they very easy to install? Also for the FTB (feed the beast) u need to add direwolf20 the one that has a picture of a wolf print on the mod pack cuz that's the one I installed. Also with the mod pack option where it says FTB crashlanding FTB unleashed and so on if I download one and select it does it add those FTB crafting recipes to the server? :) also what's a whitelist? Thanks

    Under the word "Quellcode", which you can ignore, there's a command "op YourMinecraftName". Just type it in your console and you should have the permission to use every command. Of course you should replace "YourMinecraftName" with your [lexicon]Minecraft[/lexicon] name ;)

    If your whitelist is activated, only players which are listed in the whitelist will be able to join your server.

    I'm guessing if I don't mess with the whitelist part it'll already be unactivated. Also if my server gets deleted for some reason by you guys will the world be saved? because I don't want people to make good stuff and not be able to join back and can I just make another server for that same world after it gets deleted? Also if u have a server goldzora I'd want to join. THANKS :) also sub to me. U can also use headsets in MC I think if u get Adobe flash player, just search up how to use headset in minecraft 1.8.1 :)


    EDIT: And i know that aternos isn't 24/7 server but do u get to keep the server? Also I know that if I get off the server it goes offline but if I go into the same world with the server be back on so people can join? This will probably be my last bit of questions before I start my server. THANKS ATERNOS :) Also can I download any mod pack I want? :)

    We don't delete anything, but if your world gets lost for some reason you can use our backup function. Additionally you can download your world regularly to prevent a loss of a world.

    When the slots aren't filled, for example if you got 4/5 players, there will be a countdown which stops your server after 5-10 minutes. If you rejoin your server in this time the countdown will disappear.

    You can install any mod pack on your Aternos server which is available for install in our web interface.

    Thanks this pretty much answers every question I have. And what I mean by using a headset I'm minecraft is that I think u can use a headset in minecraft if u download Adobe flash player, just look up How to use headset in minecraft 1.8.1. Because I've tried using my kunia tritan headset by madcatz and it didn't work so I searched up hoe to use headset in minecraft 1.8.1 and I think u can use it if u download Adobe flash player and stuff :)


    EDIT: I only have 1 more question right now. Can I have multiple servers?
