So I'm new to setting up servers, and when I try to load a custom adventure map to play with friends. I just put on adventure mode and upload a map. Every map has a beginning screen when you need to press a button named start so it csn teleport you and make you start your journey. When i press that button, it just doesn't work and I'm always stuck at beginning screen. Please help, what should I do?

I'm assuming you're talking about buttons with command blocks:
- either you have command blocks off
- you have a server software not allowing command blocks (bedrock, pocketmine?)
- the command block is just poorly done.

A wrong server verison can be a problem though, because commands for each minecraft versions aren't the same.
