I noticed that the server was in german and i cant read anything that isnt in english so could there be a way to switch the language?

Could you please show us, what exactly is german? (screenshot?)
In the picture on the Home site you can see a button on the right. There can you change the language.
I mean the server itself. Its stuck in german. Bukkit commands like /help shows German text for plugins that support multiple languages.
Maybe you configured your [lexicon]Minecraft[/lexicon] to German?
For multilingual Plugins like Essentials, there should be an option to change the language in the config.yml.
