when i set up my server will i be able to go on my server 10 yrs from not andf my problem is that it says i am not whitelisted on my own server what gives

While your server is online, you can either disable the whitelist through the server console using /whitelist off or add yourself to the whitelist using /whitelist add PlayerName.
