My server starts up fine, and it was working fine for a while, but yesterday my server crashed, and every time I attempt to join it the server instantly closes. I am running Craft-bukkit 1.8, and there have been no error messages in the console, either. I have also tried restoring my server to a previous version, and re-installing the server, but it does not work.

Probably your player file is corrupted. Download your world, delete the players directory and then upload your world again. Everyone's inventory will be cleared then, but you should be able to start your server again. If you manage to find your UUID instead and only delete that, only your inventory will be deleted.
