Mineshafts and Monsters Lite Stack overflow

I'm playing Mineshafts and Monsters Lite and it keeps shutting down the server saying there's stack overflow. I'm not quite sure what that means I'm guessing the system is getting overloaded or something and lagging the server to death. I'm not sure if there's is anything I can do to fix this problem or reduce the lag. But any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
