Yes, as vanilla does not support mods. You have to install forge.

Normally you only need the server ip CreeeperNetwork.aternos.me and the port which is shown on the server site.
Did you already try to use bedrock?

So the server pack on the website was outdated and a newer one is not available yet.
I created the server pack manually from the client files now. So it should work again.
