You can configure world generation settings when you click the generate button on the worlds page.
There are all options which are also available in server.properties.
The client generation screen is in most cases easier to use. So generate the world on the client and upload it to the server.

As the message says on our website it may take up to 24 hours for the NS records to apply.

There is no list of further specific requirements, it is the general impression that counts.
Everything that can be found on the curseforge site plays a role.
Furthermore there are some requirements which are not public.
Just within the last 24 hours we received up to 40 requests for new stuff. If we start such a discussion here for every mod, we would have time for nothing other.
