The Aternos forums are now deprecated

For help regarding Aternos, we recommend you to visit our support center.

Basically whenever you join a Minecraft server, your details are logged for logging and security measures.

Aternos records these logs and puts them into the 'Logs' page of the server.

The problem here is that as of also been said on the title, the user's IP address is included within the user's details.

This means that anyone with access to server logs, has the ability to see and expose the IP Address of any user who joins.

With the IP Address, one can find someone's critical information such as location, images, passwords, etc etc.

I do understand the fact that fixing this would be a problem to IP banning,

Which gives me an idea to suggest implementing a feature where you can ban someone by username but the user's location will be checked (without revealing it to anyone but Aternos servers) and that checked IP would get banned. The user wouldn't be able to see the person's IP but will be able to see it as that individual's username.

(This happens for both Editions but I only had the ability to select one as a label).

    Thanks.
