  • Creating new .txt files/folders to plugin folders

    So I found a server breaking bug with 2 plugins being installed at the same time, I know what generally causes it, It has something to do with making then deleting a new world using multiworld, and when you do so world guard will delete a file from its folders, (I can go into specifics if asked) but it doesn't delete all the files which should be deleted, I know 2 ways to fix this.


    Option a: I delete the world that the files are for.
    Option b: I remake the missing file needed. (which I cant do)


    This would be such a useful thing for the players... but its so obvious Im guessing you guys (aternos team) have already thought of it, and thus probably have a good reason for not adding it.
    I don't need to be able to add the file myself, If someone could add the file for me that would work just fine. even if its just a blank .txt file I could do the rest.

    EDIT: I have attempted Option a, and found out I cant... the only way to fix my server would be to delete the whole world (might not work)


    please aternos team help me fix my server. All the players that enjoyed playing on it have been waiting for a long time.
    and also without the server I have been getting depressed, I get depressed when I get bored...

  • My server is not starting propperly

    So just yesterday I tried starting my server, when I did it oddly wouldn't let me or my friend join. I figured "The problem is probably temporary" and tried again later that day, It did the same exact thing so I decided to try again "tomorrow" (Which is today) and it did the same exact thing.


    The server would start as it should but every time me and my friend try connecting it will take a long time logging in till we time out, then when I try restarting it it cant find the host, and soon after it automatically shuts down.


    I have no idea why, hopefully this problem is a problem with a plugin or aternos, I want to keep the world, It has days of work on it.

    Yes It it easy, but a new player wouldn't know what plugins to get or what to do/not to do with it, and also I still like my idea of the pre-modified plugin files

  • Adding a Seed?

    A alternative way to set a world's seed (this also works for uploading a custom world or custom superflat world) is to just make the world in singleplayer then upload it to the server which is what I did to get a void world on my server. but for just setting the seed for a new world it would be quickest to just do what Roman said

  • grief protection is causing problems on my server [Solved]

    when I use grief protection was on my server it thought that the world was a hub or something because water would only flow down and items couldn't be dropped and only people who used the command /ignore claims would be able to mine there, If anybody knows a way to fix this or knows another good land claiming plugin please tell me.



    EDIT1: So I have tried the plugin again and I was wrong, must have been a couple of plugins causing some of those problems


    the plugin must be in some special creative mode where you have to claim land to be able to use it, actually I may know how to fix that. I will add another reply with more information after I mess with the plugin a bit.



    EDIT2: My theory was correct, it was in creative claims mode.


    Reading my other reply the word "Creative" instantly reminded me of when I looked through the code of the plugin and so I went to the file and replaced the word "Creative" with "Survival" and it worked! now it is in survival claims mode which is exactly what I wanted.

  • "How to make a server" Guides

    Dear Aternos admin/owner/whatever else you are


    So I thought that maybe aternos would be really good for beginners if there were guides on how to make a good server here on aternos, I was thinking that there could be guides for how to make different types of servers, for example a guide for how to make a good survival server which would tell you the best settings to use and some recommended plugins, and maybe even versions of those plugins that you guys have modified the files of just like what we can do manually, but you may be wondering "but we are too busy to make guides." and my idea is that you don't have to make them, you could just have the community make some somewhere here in the forums and put the best ones onto a new tab of the main site, that way beginners can just click that tab and follow the instructions to get a basic server for whatever they want. and from there they can just edit the server to become exactly what they always wanted (more or less). I can answer any questions if you have any.

  • More info on the "my website" page

    What I mean by the "my website page" is the page you are taken to when you click the "My website" button (the one that uses the ip of your server as the url. ex: poco2.aternos.me)


    It should say more than just offline and online... by that I mean It should say if the server is in the queue and maybe the estimated wait time, and maybe other information like what plugins are on the server (maybe you could give the user the option to hide what plugins are on the server)


    I think this would help fans of a certain know when the server would be online without the owner having to announce it

  • plugin limit warning

    I was on my server and wanted to add a 16th plugin and I am still sorta new to aternos so I didn't know about the 15 plugin limit befor my friend told me.
    when I got the 16th plugin I restarted the server so I could start playing with the plugin, then the server shutdown and my friend told me about the limit, Its a sunday morning so Its going to take a long time to get threw the queue.


    There should be a warning that tells you if the server will be able to start up with that many plugins so I would know if restarting my server would cause it to stop, I am not asking to bypass the limit, simply just asking for a way to be notified that I have too many plugins.
