You can request modpacks/mods/plugins here on the forums.We try to process each request as soon as possible, but sometimes (especially mod/modpack requests) take longer.
If the requested mod is okay, we'll add it otherwise we'll deny the request.

really sweet so if I make a mod pack and follow the critira I get it approved and can run it on my server?

The idea of test servers or file scanners is nice, but financeable. Security Systems running on application layer are really expensive and require staff to be available 24/7.And no, a simple virus scanner is not enough for our special use case.
Currently you can edit files which are located under /plugins.
Settings of files in the root directory can be edited on the options page. Other things you could achieve by editing files in the root can normally also be achieved by plugins.
Changing configuration files of mods in /config could be added but the disadvantages that currently result for us outweigh the advantages.Both questions were already answered multiple times here on the forums
Ok I see but with plugin and mod requests y do they get denied so fast like just look at the mod or plugin if it doesn't look like its bad accept right can you do that then its easy to have custom plugins basically -

Ok well sorry for swearing but so really smart people can exploit the system without a doubt tbh I might even be one of these as sometimes when I’m board I have fun just exploiting games and stuff. So 60% sure if this was a feature I would make my server 24/7. But maybe you can make a file scanner and have backup servers to test the plugins on and see wha they do that way we can still have this and you can find bad files if anything goes wrong rest your test servers. That is just an idea and if this does come in the future great.But stil why can’t we have root file editing?
Display MorePaid Plugins: People use our service to get a minecraft server for free as they don't have money or are not allowed to rent a server. People who buy plugins have the money to buy/rent a server and host minecraft on their own. Also integrating the spiget plugin store to our webstore would require that people connect their spigot account to their aternos account which is currently not supported from our side and also not supported from spigotmc's site.
Devs: People who want to test their plugins can do that on their pc by running the minecraft server on localhost.
In the last years we've added many many stuff to our system to secure it and the minecraft servers running on it.
Main Problem: Unfortunately it would still be possible to bypass our systems regulations so that your server could be kept up 24/7, which is completely out of our intention and unfair against the other users.
Also uploaded plugins are executed on our servers and people who know how plugins work know, that they are not really secured by the bukkit api itself. So they can basically do what they want. We have the possibility of detect abuses, but should we risk that?The time will come when this will maybe possible, but certainly not in the near future.

Second, this Aternos is a free-hosting community, so you are just paying plugin for nothing? Ofc it's free, but there are many disadvantage when it is a free one. So you will pay the pluhin to this host for nothing? It's a waste of money anyway when people not always join your server
Thirdly, they can use this host cause they don't have enough money to buy their own host, so be proud, not just yelling to the whole Aternos community
Forthly, the best fraud developer might coming to hack this website by using some kind of add-ons to injure this site
Fifthly, if you don't like this host, then go to another host then. Don't just stand here shouting people and swearing like that. That's bad behavior you have -

OK, so i have read the forms i know the excuses. But really font *** me having custom plugins and editing server files wont get you hacked like everyone other site lets you and well tell me why they are not hacked. It makes it hard to run any real good server on here with this. Why you may ask well let me tell you 1. Paid Plugins: people buy plugins for there server heck the most popular ones have a special team that makes them like mineplex. 2. Custom coded or re coded plugins: I'm a dev and I plan on editing and making plugins and its hard to do that when you know you cant use them. So really if it removes your advertising so what this is a free server, that's your only goal then if it is your making way more then what the servers cost from ads and this is not a big deal. So please as i beg you give us these features and don't *** me like if the jar is corrupted then the server goes down well yea THERE SERVER not all of them that's not how it works. same goes for editing server files they *** there own server up by changing the IP not yours so no excuses I know my *** and if your answer is complicated then ELI5.
