Reading the server status is possible in many ways. You could use a server plugin like DiscordSRV or an existing discord bot like crafty or pingernos.
If you want to build something yourself look at the Minecraft ping protocol. Please note that there is no Aternos api and abusing the endpoints used by our website will get your account banned.
