Only if you also delete the configuration folder of the plugin. If you just delete the jar file the configs will stay.

Hi, I'm wondering how to switch the version of a plugin that I have installed (Spigot). The plugin is EssentialsX version 2.16.1. I want to switch to EssentialsX 2.17.1. I also want to switch to newer versions on other plugins, please help. I don't want to delete all the info on the original version I installed earlier.
