Yea or a shorter benchmark, whatever. You get the point. Also you dont always have to do the Benchmark, only when you uninstall mods to prevent RAM cheating (installing 1000 mods, benchmarks, unstalling them, 10GB ram)

You should make the RAM distribution like: You install the server and all the mods, everything. Then, you can start a benchmark and the server will run for 1 hour with a ghost player exploring / loading new chunks. The average / maximum amount of RAM is what the server will be given

Well, no version requires that much RAM but I guess they could up the RAM on forge

It would be cool if you made a patreon, that way people could support the project but you would still stay true to your credo - Free Forever - because still no one can pay for any features etc

Did you stop the server before downloading?

Use PaperMC as server software, it greatly improves performance. Remember to download your world beforehand though!
