You either can change your game mode through the web interface while your server is offline or change the difficulty in game when the server is online: '/defaultgamemode 0' and '/gamemode 0'

Make sure to not overload your server by spawning too much entities or generating a large world.

Make sure you installed the correct version of the plugins and you fulfilled the dependencies. Check the server console log for additional information.

The problem is probably caused by an outdated world save. If you create a new world, you can play the mod pack again. To save the old world, download it before.
