Provide a link to the mod you're talking about
Here is the mod link: Clumps

I see, so let us say for example: Server File 0.2 cannot be compatible with 0.3 modpack version. Is it not possible for the staff team to add older versions of modpack to have a compatible server file? I mean the modpack won't be updated and you may possibly lack features or have changes. -
Greetings,
There is an issue regarding with the search function in the mods section. I tried to search for the mod "Clumps" a mod that clumps the dropped experience for less entities. With the search, the notice said that there was no mods found with that name, so I tried suggesting the mod but it already said that it is already available.
Though, I am not sure if this issue is only happening to me or to everyone else, and I have not tried this with plugins and such as I only use mods to optimize the server. -
Greetings,
There are several modpacks out there that gives the server file in the first release of their modpack. I was wondering that if it is possible to use the old server files with new modpack version.
If this being a possible thing, a lot of more modpacks can be added, but as of now this isn't a sure thing. -
You can't modify a modpack.
But if you really want to, download ALL the mods the modpack has, then add your own!
This can work but I don't recommend it as some modpacks have configs for different mods in the pack, for example a change in crafting recipe and such.
But yes adding mods to a modpack would be nice, especially if you want to optimize the modpack with optimization mods. -
It's on our ToDo list.
Unfortunately, there are some technical challenges therefore it doesn't have such a hight priority
That's nice to hear, glad that it's already in the ToDoList, I'll be waiting.

Currently, Aternos only support mod suggestion from Curseforge and yes that's good, but there are some good mods that aren't in curseforge.
For example, Hydrogen, a Minecraft mod where it reduces memory usage, this can be important for servers running heavy or in an slight TPS drop. This is another suggestion for Aternos, this is to make Aternos users have a better experience with their services. -
If I could've edited the server properties file with an text editor, I could've bypass the limit. But it's impossible to do so in Aternos.

First of all, yes I have read the article where you can't change the viewing distance in any other software other than PaperMC.
This is the reason why I'm suggesting this.
I have a server where I played with friends a generic survival server, the server started to lag with Vanilla software alone. With that issue, I changed the server software to Fabric to install performance mods, like Phosphor, Lithium, and Sodium.
With that in hand, I went back on the server if everything is fine and working well, and it did, the server is running better. I noticed something after a few minutes that the render distance or viewing distance seems to be lesser than usual.
I went to the server properties file and I tried to change the server viewing distance to 12 but it gave me an "X" or an error in return, I then asked the Aternos server for some support and a moderator said it cannot be 12, so I tried a lower number and in return gave me an "X". I experimented on what the highest viewing distance it can be and it seems to be 5, the maximum viewing distance.
I was sad to see that this was the maximum viewing distance as average most players in the server plays in a 10 viewing distance. I downloaded performance mods to make the server runs better and to make it that way but it changed everything we could see.
I am suggesting to increase the limit at least 8 or 10, what I am doing is solely based to improve performance and not to run other heavy mods.
(As for me they missed an opportunity here, I also think they'll discard this suggestion.)
Anymore question you have to ask I'll happy to answer them. -
I'm currently also experiencing the same issue. What's quite weird is that it didn't happen several hours ago, this issue only happened right now.
I've tried restarting my network, restarting my laptop, restarting the server, and changing the DNS servers, and nothing seems to work. I wonder if this is some internal issues with Aternos at the moment.
