It doesn't work because a feature in mc makes it so cracked and legit players have different accounts so when they join their game could have an invalid session which means they have to relog into mc. This causes their game to be cracked and their items, deleted.

You should tell your friend tlauncher is illegal because it violated Minecrafts terms of service and eula.
Look in the config files and look for something that might be causing it.
It might be because the server is cracked i don't know.
There was one server (wont tell name) that actually had cool owner and staff team.
But it got griefed and server is no longer online.
Rip.
This is why you don't play on servers with crap owners. 70% of the server ads here are just a bunch of bullcrap.
I tried to Op myself and the command blocks seem to work, but I don't want to be Op just to use the command blocks. It might be a setting from one of the plugins.
Why don't you want to be op on your own server?

I doubt that. Hardcore is an option you choose when you create the world. You can't change a world setting without resetting it.

No, deleting the level.dat won't help.
But you can manually disable it in the level.dat file using an NBT editor
You'd have to reset/delete the world. That's the only way. Hardcore is an option for the world. It isn't a gamemode so it's not possible without deleting the world.
It might be becuase commandblocks are disabled or you're not in creative/opped.

I need help because on one of my private SMP's I keep getting killed by people with swords and axes. Can someone please train me how to PvP on 1.17 because I can't defend myself. I joined Minecraft like a couple months ago but haven't been playing much until now. I'm willing to join at 10:00 am EST - 1:00 pm EST. Comment your name and when you would like to join and I'll whitelist and make you an operator. Also I would prefer if you put your average ping and FPS. It took me 3 days to learn world edit. My friend also taught me how to download Optifine.
