Every account has a UUID now to know who you are instead of using your MC name. So if the version you have doesn't use UUID, and it uses your MC name than the server will think you are a new person (since you changed your name), and you won't have anything.

It usually takes that long unless not many people are using aternos servers. So just refresh every 5 mins or use the +20 min button
It would be easiest to just make 2 accounts so you can have 1 vanilla and 1 modded.

You changed your name with /nick or your actual MC name?

There is no way to pay for 24/7 server or more slots or more plugins. Aternos is meant to be a private server, not necessarily public. It should be you and your friends

To edit plugins, you need to start the server. By starting the server, it will make a factions config folder you can edit
