That's not aternos' fault. If it is happening to you, it is happening to everyone. That just means they can't authenticate your minecraft account is premium.

They will never, or at least anytime soon, allow custom anything but maps

You do know that the Aternos server version is like .7.4 and the newest update is .8 so unless you didn't update, you should have .8

Is he using the same modpack or version of minecraft?
